Child Safety Standards

Standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) · Last updated 2 August 2026

Placesy has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Placesy is an adults-only (18+) service. Children are not permitted to use it, and any content or conduct that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits a minor is strictly prohibited.

Adults only — 18+

Placesy is intended solely for adults aged 18 and over. Users must confirm their date of birth at sign-up, and posting, expressing interest, and messaging require identity verification (photo ID and a liveness selfie via our verification partner). Accounts we believe to be operated by, or misrepresenting, a minor are removed.

Prohibited content and conduct

The following are strictly forbidden and will result in immediate removal and a permanent ban:

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.
Sexualization of, or sexual content involving, minors.
Grooming, solicitation, enticement, or any attempt to contact or exploit a minor.
Trafficking, or facilitating the exploitation, of a minor.
Sharing, linking to, or requesting any of the above.

How we prevent it

Age gate: date-of-birth confirmation restricts the service to adults 18+.
Identity verification: members verify their identity (photo ID + liveness selfie) before they can post or message.
Automated moderation: posts and photos pass through automated content moderation before they are published.
Contact kept in-app: moderation blocks phone numbers, emails, and social handles in posts, keeping first contact attached to verified accounts.
Human review: reports are reviewed, and we may warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts.
Blocking: any user can block another at any time.

Reporting child-safety concerns

Every post, profile, and conversation can be reported inside the app (including an “underage user” reason). You can also report a child-safety concern directly to our designated point of contact at support@placesy.app. We review child-safety reports as a priority.

Our response and legal compliance

When we identify apparent CSAM or child exploitation, we remove the content, disable the responsible account(s), preserve relevant evidence, and report to the appropriate authorities as required by law — including national bodies and hotlines such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and equivalent regional authorities. We comply with all applicable child-safety laws in the jurisdictions where Placesy operates and cooperate with lawful investigations.
